Lost Ark is a game full of different endgame activities and currencies. Pirate Coins play a large part in island travel and Lost Ark’s Naval content. Generally speaking, merchants around the islands accept Pirate coins in lieu of lost ark gold or silver. Players will need it to purchase a variety of commodities and services, from Honing Materials to Stronghold upgrades. These coins are also the only way players can acquire unique collectible items such as the Song of Resonance, a Sheet Music tune used to open hidden areas within maps. As a result, Lost Ark players must know how to farm this currency efficiently.
Island Quests
As you explore certain islands, occasionally, you’ll come across Island Quests, which will reward you with a one-time drop of Pirate Coins. Later islands drop more than 16,000 Pirate Coins, but you can’t access them all right away and the quests themselves can only be completed once, so keep that in mind!
Stronghold Expeditions
Once you unlock your personal stronghold, you can begin sending out your own pirate crew for various expeditions. Once you assign your crew and send them on their way, they’ll be gone for several real-world hours but will return with Stronghold XP and a small number of Pirate Coins. It’s not nearly as lucrative as Island Quests, but it’s a way to earn Pirate Coins while you’re doing other things passively. Missions take time to complete, so we recommend that you try always to have a Mission active if possible.
Una’s Tasks
Once you’ve reached level 50, you’ll unlock Una’s Tasks; daily and weekly quests that yield various rewards, such as Pirate Coins, upon completion. Because these and the Stronghold missions are repeatable, they’re the most effective way to keep a steady supply of coins; remember to send out your pirate crew from your stronghold and complete your tasks from Una, and you’ll have a sizable stash of Pirate Coins in no time.
Exchanging Coins
Last but not least, you can also exchange other coins for Pirate Coins. The Guild Merchant Vessels, near the port of most islands, will allow the exchange of coins. You can trade Gienah’s Coin, Spectrum’s Coin, Arcturus’ Coin, Ancient Coin, and Sun Coin for Pirate Coins.
Pirate Coins have a ton of different uses. They’re one of the most powerful currencies in-game. Here’s what you can spend them on:
Stronghold Station Missions
Ship Blueprints
Ship Upgrades
Upgrade Materials
Recruiting Ship Crew
Song of Resonance
Giant’s Hearts
And other goodies
As you can see, there are a ton of great things you can get with Pirate Coins.
That’s all for our Lost Ark Pirate Coins guide, best of luck in your adventures in Arkesia and hopefully, you’ll find all the coins you need! For more Lost Ark guides, check here.
