If you don't care about appearances, then you (are an ugly homo) are able to purchase Veracs skirt to wear with torags body.. Similar legs from torags, however it is more costly and includes a the OSRS GP prayer bonus, meaning you are able to use it as a slayer in the event that you don't want to pray to protect prayers. Dfs can only be used for tanking bosses or in PVP, because drag def is MUCH better due to its epic atk bonuses.

The same general idea applies for the platelegs, except that Dragon platelegs tend to be cheaper. It costs 90,000 every 15 hours. This is less if you're working at home and actually have a medium-smithing level (50 is an example that will make it cost ~70k). Let's make it a round number and make it 100k the same way we're rounding the cost of Torag's to 300k, not 340k. 86*15=1,290, which is how many hours you'd need to be fighting this (not only wearing it) before spending the same amount on it as you would with a dragon's platebody.

In comparison, 200 hours would be a long time to master a skill 99. This degrades in combat. It's not only for wear. The numbers don't diminish slowly. They are good and then they stop when it goes from 25% to 0%. I don't understand why you are paying more than a lower quality piece of armour solely because you have to pay tiny amounts of cash each 15-hour period of battle. The reason dragon platebodies are so expensive has nothing to directly relate to their use: it's simply because they're hard to come by.

The only gloves that are worth getting are the barrows' gloves.. Also, getting every stat and all quest reqs to use them will take approximately 2 months of skilling and questing.. I'd rather not.
